بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Verses 1–12: Divine Revelation & Warning

يس ﴿١﴾

Roman: Yaa-Seeen.

English: Ya. Seen.

وَالْقُرْآنِ الْحَكِيمِ ﴿٢﴾

Roman: Wal-Qur-aanil-Hakeem.

English: By the wise Quran.

إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿٣﴾

Roman: Innaka laminal mursaleen.

English: You (O Muhammad) are truly one of the messengers.

عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿٤﴾

Roman: ‘Alaa Siraatim Mustaqeem.

English: Sent upon a straight path.

تَنْزِيلَ الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿٥﴾

Roman: Tanzeelal ‘Azeezir Raheem.

English: This is a revelation sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful.

لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْمًا مَا أُنْذِرَ آبَاؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَافِلُونَ ﴿٦﴾

Roman: Litunzira qawmam maaa unzira aabaaa’uhum fahum ghaafiloon.

English: So that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, leaving them heedless.

لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٧﴾

Roman: Laqad haqqal qawlu ‘alaaa aksarihim fahum laa yu’minoon.

English: The verdict has already been proven true against most of them, so they will not believe.

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ أَغْلَالًا فَهِيَ إِلَى الْأَذْقَانِ فَهُمْ مُقْمَحُونَ ﴿٨﴾

Roman: Innaa ja’alnaa feee a’naaqihim aghlaalan fahiya ilal azqaani fahum muqmahoon.

English: We have placed shackles around their necks, up to their chins, forcing their heads up in defiance.

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٩﴾

Roman: Wa ja’alnaa min baini aydeehim saddanw-wa min khalfihim saddan fa aghshai naahum fahum laa yubsiroon.

English: And We have put a barrier in front of them and behind them, covering them so they cannot see.

وَسَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَنْذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿١٠﴾

Roman: Wa sawaaa’un ‘alaihim ‘a-anzartahum am lam tunzirhum laa yu’minoon.

English: It is the same to them whether you warn them or not; they will not believe.

إِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ وَخَشِيَ الرَّحْمَٰنَ بِالْغَيْبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ ﴿١١﴾

Roman: Innamaa tunziru manit taba ‘az-Zikra wa khashiyar Rahmaana bilghaib, fabashshirhu bimaghfiratinw-wa ajrin kareem.

English: You can only warn one who follows the reminder and fears the Most Merciful unseen. Give such a person good news of forgiveness and a generous reward.

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ فِي إِمَامٍ مُبِينٍ ﴿١٢﴾

Roman: Innaa Nahnu nuhyil mawtaa wa naktubu maa qaddamoo wa aasaarahum; wa kulla shai’in ahsainaahu feee Imaamim Mubeen.

English: We alone give life to the dead, recording what they send ahead and the traces they leave behind. Everything is recorded in a clear register.

Verses 13–32: The Parable of the Town

وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَثَلًا أَصْحَابَ الْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَاءَهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿١٣﴾

Roman: Wadrib lahum masalan Ashaabal Qaryatih; iz jaaa’ahal mursaloon.

English: Give them the example of the people of a town, when messengers came to it.

إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ اثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا إِلَيْكُمْ مُرْسَلُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

Roman: Iz arsalnaaa ilaihimusnaini fakazzaboohumaa fa’azzaznaa bisaalisin faqaalooo innaaa ilaikum mursaloon.

English: We sent them two messengers, but they rejected them. So We strengthened them with a third, and they said: “We have been sent to you.”

قَالُوا مَا أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَمَا أَنْزَلَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

Roman: Qaaloo maaa antum illaa basharum mislunaa wa maaa anzalar Rahmaanu min shai’in in antum illaa takziboon.

English: The people replied: “You are only human beings like us. The Most Merciful has not sent down anything; you are lying.”

قَالُوا رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّا إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿١٦﴾

Roman: Qaaloo Rabbunaa ya’lamu innaaa ilaikum lamursaloon.

English: The messengers said: “Our Lord knows that we have indeed been sent to you.”

وَمَا عَلَيْنَا إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ ﴿١٧﴾

Roman: Wa maa ‘alainaaa illal balaaghul mubeen.

English: Our only duty is to deliver the message clearly.

قَالُوا إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ ۖ لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهُوا لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿١٨﴾

Roman: Qaaloo innaa tataiyarnaa bikum la’il-lam tantahoo lanar jumannakum wa la-yamassan nakum minnaa ‘azaabun aleem.

English: The people said: “We see an evil omen in you. If you do not stop, we will stone you, and a painful punishment will strike you.”

قَالُوا طَائِرُكُمْ مَعَكُمْ ۚ أَئِنْ ذُكِّرْتُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُسْرِفُونَ ﴿١٩﴾

Roman: Qaaloo taaa’irukum ma’akum; a’in zukkirtum; bal antum qawmum musrifoon.

English: The messengers replied: “Your bad omen lies with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? No, you exceed all limits.”

وَجاءَ مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿٢٠﴾

Roman: Wa jaaa’a min aqsal madeenati rajuluny yas’aa qaala yaa qawmit tabi’ul mursaleen.

English: A man came running from the far end of the city and said: “O my people, follow the messengers.”

اتَّبِعُوا مَنْ لَا يَسْأَلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ ﴿٢١﴾

Roman: Ittabi’oo mal-laa yas’alukum ajranw-wa hum muhtadoon.

English: Follow those who ask no reward from you and who are rightly guided.

وَمَا لِيَ لَا أَعْبُدُ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾

Roman: Wa maa liya laaa a’budul lazee fataranee wa ilaihi turja’oon.

English: Why should I not worship the One who created me, and to whom you will all return?

أَأَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إِنْ يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمَٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَا تُغْنِ عَنِّي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُنْقِذُونِ ﴿٢٣﴾

Roman: ‘A-attakhizu min dooniheee aalihatan iny-yuridnir Rahmaanu bidurril-laa tughni ‘annee shafaa ‘atuhum shai ‘anw-wa laa yunqizoon.

English: Should I take other gods besides Him? If the Most Merciful intends harm for me, their intercession cannot help or save me.

إِنِّي إِذًا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ ﴿٢٤﴾

Roman: Inneee izal-lafee dalaa-lim-mubeen.

English: Then I would truly be in plain error.

إِنِّي آمَنْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ ﴿٢٥﴾

Roman: Inneee aamantu bi Rabbikum fasma’oon.

English: Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me.

قِيلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ ۖ قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ قَوْمِي يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Roman: Qeelad khulil Jannnah; qaala yaa laita qawmee ya’lamoon.

English: He was told to enter Paradise. He said: “If only my people knew…”

بِمَا غَفَرَ لِي رَبِّي وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ ﴿٢٧﴾

Roman: Bimaa ghafara lee Rabbee wa ja’alanee minal mukrameen.

English: “…how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored ones!”

وَمَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ جُنْدٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنْزِلِينَ ﴿٢٨﴾

Roman: Wa maaa anzalnaa ‘alaa qawmihee mim ba’dihee min jundim minas-samaaa’i wa maa kunnaa munzileen.

English: After him, We did not send down any army from the sky against his people, nor was there any need.

إِنْ كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَامِدُونَ ﴿٢٩﴾

Roman: In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum khaamidoon.

English: It took only a single blast, and at once they were extinguished.

يَا حَسْرَةً عَلَى الْعِبَادِ ۚ مَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾

Roman: Yaa hasratan ‘alal ‘ibaaad; maa ya’teehim mir Rasoolin illaa kaanoo bihee yastahzi ‘oon.

English: How great is the regret for such people! Never did a messenger come to them without being mocked.

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ ﴿٣١﴾

Roman: Alam yaraw kam ahlak naa qablahum minal qurooni annahum ilaihim laa yarji’oon.

English: Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them? None will ever return.

وَإِنْ كُلٌّ لَمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ ﴿٣٢﴾

Roman: Wa in kullul lammaa jamee’ul-ladainaa muhdaroon.

English: And all of them, without exception, will stand before Us.

Verses 33–50: Signs of Allah in Creation

وَآيَةٌ لَهُمُ الْأَرْضُ الْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَاهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ ﴿٣٣﴾

Roman: Wa Aayatul lahumul ardul maitatu ahyainaahaa wa akhrajnaa minhaa habban faminhu ya’kuloon.

English: A sign for them is the dead earth. We give it life and bring forth grain for them to eat.

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّاتٍ مِنْ نَخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ الْعُيُونِ ﴿٣٤﴾

Roman: Wa ja’alnaa feehaa jannaatim min nakheelinw wa a’naabinw wa fajjarnaa feeha minal ‘uyoon.

English: We placed gardens of palm trees and grapevines upon it, causing springs to flow.

لِيَأْكُلُوا مِنْ ثَمَرِهِ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Roman: Li ya’kuloo min samarihee wa maa ‘amilat-hu aideehim; afalaa yashkuroon.

English: They eat from its fruit, which their hands did not create. Will they not show gratitude?

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾

Roman: Subhaanal lazee khalaqal azwaaja kullahaa mimmaa tumbitul ardu wa min anfusihim wa mimmaa laa ya’lamoon.

English: Glory be to the One who created all things in pairs — from the earth, from themselves, and from what they do not know.

وَآيَةٌ لَهُمُ اللَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ النَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُمْ مُظْلِمُونَ ﴿٣٧﴾

Roman: Wa Aayatul lahumul lailu naslakhu minhun nahaara fa-izaa hum muzlimoon.

English: Another sign is the night. We withdraw the day from it, leaving them in darkness.

وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ ﴿٣٨﴾

Roman: Wash-shamsu tajree limustaqarril lahaa; zaalika taqdeerul ‘Azeezil Aleem.

English: The sun runs its course toward a fixed resting place — this is the design of the All-Knowing.

وَالْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَاهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُونِ الْقَدِيمِ ﴿٣٩﴾

Roman: Walqamara qaddarnaahu manaazila hattaa ‘aada kal’ur joonil qadeem.

English: We ordained precise phases for the moon, until it returns like an old palm stalk.

لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَهَا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ ﴿٤٠﴾

Roman: Lash shamsu yambaghee lahaaa an tudrikal qamara walal lailu saabiqun nahaar; wa kullun fee falaki yasbahoon.

English: The sun cannot overtake the moon, nor can night outrun day. Each floats in its own orbit.

وَآيَةٌ لَهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ ﴿٤١﴾

Roman: Wa Aayatul lahum annaa hamalnaa zurriyatahum fil fulkil mashhoon.

English: A further sign is that We carried their ancestors in the laden ship.

وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُمْ مِنْ مِثْلِهِ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

Roman: Wa khalaqnaa lahum mim-mislihee maa yarkaboon.

English: And We created similar vessels for them to ride.

وَإِنْ نَشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنْقَذُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

Roman: Wa in nashaa nughriqhum falaa sareekha lahum wa laa hum yunqazoon.

English: If We willed, We could drown them, leaving no rescuer to save them.

إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِنَّا وَمَتَاعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍ ﴿٤٤﴾

Roman: Illaa rahmatam minnaa wa mataa’an ilaa heen.

English: Except by mercy from Us, letting them enjoy life for a period.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّقُوا مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ ﴿٤٥﴾

Roman: Wa izaa qeela lahumuttaqoo maa baina aideekum wa maa khalfakum la’allakum turhamoon.

English: Yet when told to beware of what lies before and behind them, they turn away.

وَمَا تَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾

Roman: Wa maa ta’teehim min aayatim min Aayaati Rabbihim illaa kaanoo ‘anhaa mu’rideen.

English: Not a single sign comes from their Lord without them ignoring it.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنْفِقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنُطْعِمُ مَنْ لَوْ يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ ﴿٤٧﴾

Roman: Wa izaa qeela lahum anfiqoo mimmaa razaqakumul laahu qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo anut’imu mal-law yashaaa’ul laahu at’amahooo in antum illaa fee dalaalim mubeen.

English: When asked to give from Allah’s provision, disbelievers mock: “Should we feed those whom Allah could feed if He wished?”

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Roman: Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa’du in kuntum saadiqeen.

English: They ask: “When will this promise come to pass, if you are truthful?”

مَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ ﴿٤٩﴾

Roman: Maa yanzuroona illaa saihatanw waahidatan ta’khuzuhum wa hum yakhissimoon.

English: They await only a single blast that will seize them while arguing.

فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ ﴿٥٠﴾

Roman: Falaa yastatee’oona taw siyatanw-wa laaa ilaaa ahlihim yarji’oon.

English: They will not be able to make a will, nor return to their families.

Verses 51–68: The Day of Resurrection

وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُمْ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَنْسِلُونَ ﴿٥١﴾

Roman: Wa nufikha fis-soori faizaa hum minal ajdaasi ilaa Rabbihim yansiloon.

English: The Trumpet sounds, and they rush out of their graves to their Lord.

قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا مَنْ بَعَثَنَا مِنْ مَرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗ هَٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَصَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿٥٢﴾

Roman: Qaaloo yaa wailanaa mam ba’asanaa mim marqadinaa; haaza maa wa’adar Rahmanu wa sadaqal mursaloon.

English: They cry: “Woe to us! Who raised us from our sleep? This is what the Most Merciful promised.”

إِنْ كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ ﴿٥٣﴾

Roman: In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum jamee’ul ladainaa muhdaroon.

English: A single blast brings everyone before Us.

فَالْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٥٤﴾

Roman: Fal-Yawma laa tuzlamu nafsun shai’anw-wa laa tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta’maloon.

English: On that Day, no soul suffers injustice. You receive payment only for your deeds.

إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ الْيَوْمَ فِي شُغُلٍ فَاكِهُونَ ﴿٥٥﴾

Roman: Inna Ashaabal jannatil Yawma fee shughulin faakihoon.

English: The people of Paradise rejoice in their delight on that Day.

هُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمْ فِي ظِلَالٍ عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ مُتَّكِئُونَ ﴿٥٦﴾

Roman: Hum wa azwaajuhum fee zilaalin ‘alal araaa’iki muttaki’oon.

English: They and their spouses recline in cool shade upon couches.

لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَلَهُمْ مَا يَدَّعُونَ ﴿٥٧﴾

Roman: Lahum feehaa faakiha tunw-wa lahum maa yadda’oon.

English: They enjoy fruits and receive whatever they request.

سَلَامٌ قَوْلًا مِنْ رَبٍّ رَحِيمٍ ﴿٥٨﴾

Roman: Salaamun qawlam mir Rabbir Raheem.

English: A Merciful Lord greets them with: “Peace!”

وَامْتَازُوا الْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ ﴿٥٩﴾

Roman: Wamtaazul Yawma ayyuhal mujrimoon.

English: “Stand apart today, O guilty ones!”

أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ أَنْ لَا تَعْبُدُوا الشَّيْطَانَ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ ﴿٦٠﴾

Roman: Alam a’had ilaikum yaa Baneee Aadama al-laa ta’budush Shaitaana innahoo lakum ‘aduwwum mubeen.

English: “Did I not command you, O children of Adam, not to serve Satan? He is your open enemy.”

وَأَنِ اعْبُدُونِي ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ ﴿٦١﴾

Roman: Al-Yawma nakhtimu ‘alaaa afwaahihim wa tukallimunaaa aideehim wa tashhadu arjuluhum bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon.

English: On that Day, We seal their mouths. Their hands speak to Us, and their feet testify to their actions.

وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٦٦﴾

Roman: Wa law nashaaa’u lata masna ‘alaaa aiyunihim fasta baqus-siraata fa-annaa yubsiroon.

English: Had We willed, We could have blinded their eyes as they rushed for the path.

وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَمَسَخْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ ﴿٦٧﴾

Roman: Wa law nashaaa’u lamasakhnaahum ‘alaa makaanatihim famas-tataa’oo mudiyyanw-wa laa yarji’oon.

English: Had We willed, We could have frozen them in place, leaving them unable to move.

وَمَنْ نُعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِي الْخَلْقِ ۖ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ ﴿٦٨﴾

English: Whomever We grant long life, We reverse in physical strength. Will they not understand?

English: Yet they take false gods besides Allah, hoping for help.
